After four years of Donald Trump, leaders of the US’ fellow G7 countries are in for a new agenda. From Friday to Sunday of this past weekend, new international agreements are expected to be made. On the table are likely mass donations of COVID-19 vaccines for countries in need around the globe.

Israel’s New Historic Leadership

For 12 years, Benjamin Netanyahu has led Israel. Last Sunday, the Iraeli parliament decided to move away from Netanyahu’s vision, opting to oust and replace him with a coalition government. He has since been replaced by Naftali Bennet, after losing by a mere singular vote.

Private Equity Industry Gaming the Tax System

During the end of the Trump administration, private equity firms were given extra help to avoid paying millions in taxes. Throughout the US’ history, providing ways for the private equity industry to evade taxes has overlapped party lines. While many firms would usually pay around 37% of income in taxes (the highest percentage), money that flows in isn’t considered income but rather capital gains, thus warranting a much lower tax rate of 20%.  

Empty Seat Auctioned Off For Blue Origin Flight

As the Bezos brothers are set to go into outer space with Blue Origin, one other open spot remains. This is such a coveted opportunity, that at auction the seat went for $28 million.
