Pfizer Appeals for Use in Young Teenagers
The world’s first COVID-19 vaccine to be certified for emergency use in the US now could soon be accessible for children ranging from 12 to 15 years old. Pfizer and codeveloper BioNTech have asked the US’ FDA to approve their two-step vaccine for an expanded audience, in hopes of vaccinating more of the population. This comes after March saw positive results in clinical trials with young teenage volunteers.
